Sailing, building, and fixing our boats is what we expect as owners. But, there's more! When I fell in love with my 1936 Danish-built spidsgatter PAX, her history had been lost. Her original interior (and rudder, rig, cabin, etc. I would eventually find out) had burned and rumors, questions and blanks were all that existed of nearly seventy years of history. I wanted to restore her and knew I wasn't the first person to do so. Inspiring beauty and expert craftsmanship stir the hearts of wooden boat owners worldwide. Over 7 years, I searched and found 10 former owners or their families - in Canada, California, and Denmark. This unexpected journey took me places I never dreamed and to people I will never forget. I'll share tips from the international research, writing, and publishing options
